My first four weeks of college were the fastest four weeks;
it feels as if I have been at college for about a week. College is exactly how
I have imagined it to be. Coming into my first year as a college student I was
expecting to have large amounts of homework and just an overall better but
harder to pass education. The hardest thing about college is the softball and
the time that I have to get my work done. I am disappointed about my current
softball experience here. I thought that it was going to be fun and not as time
consuming but it is just like a part time job. From doing the weekly hours and
adding up the hours I put into it I find it ridiculous. My goal at southern
Connecticut is to graduate with my athletic training degree but that is my small
goal. My long-term goal is to become a physical therapist. I need to achieve my
short goal that is becoming an athletic trainer before I can even go to school
to become a physical therapist. I have chosen something that I desired and am
going in the direction. The smaller goals I have to achieve my goal of getting
my athletic training degree is to get good grades so I am able to achieve this
goal and get into a good physical therapy school. To do this I make sure that I
always make my five hours of study hall a week. I not only do it for softball
but I do it for myself. It helps me to get all my work and studying in for
those two days. I will have to have less hours of relaxing and social hours in
result of having to doing these five hour study halls. I will become more
motivated for my own self-improvement.
