Organization is not my best skill (2B)

While my years at high school I always had an organization problem. Coming into college not being organized made me really stressed out. I tried my best to be as organized as possible but it didn’t work. My first week of college was so overwhelming and I was not organized at all. I didn’t have a planner so I was forgetting assignments, I didn’t have my syllabuses out and ready to read whenever I wanted and my binders were not planned out correctly. From struggling really hard my first week and but completely unorganized I now am trying to organize myself as best as possible. I realized that if I want to have good grades my first semester I have to stay organized. College will be easier if I am organized and on top of things. I went to the bookstore and bought a planner. I downloaded all my syllabi onto my home screen of my laptop so whenever I need to see what assignments I have they are always right there for me to read. I also labeled all my binders with the classes it is used for, the time and days the class is and where the classes are being held. I also have an appointment with someone in the special education room every other week to make sure that I am on top of things and doing my work. I have these meetings to make sure that I do not fall behind. I try and do all my homework as soon as possible and not save it for the last day. Since I am an athlete here at SCSU I have to attend five hours a week of study hall where I can do my homework and only my homework. If I do not reach the five hours a week I am penalized and am suspended from a game. I like these study halls because it makes me stay on my work and not miss assignments. I already feel more organized and hope that my organization stays this way for the rest of my college years.
