In the past
inquiry classes we have been speaking about what are and are not good inquiry
questions. This week readings were very interesting and made me think about
inquiry questions. An inquiry question is a fact-based question. In order to
have a good inquiry question you need to evaluate, think and put the it you’re
your own perceptions and words, analyze and examine/ breakdown the readings and
synthesize. While reading these blogs I came up with multiple questions.
1) What are ways we can cultivate more creativity? How can
this be important looking for the future?
- One way that we are able to cultivate more creativity is
by group work and discussion. I know from personal experience I learn and work
well with a group of people and not just myself. I enjoy hearing what other
people have to say, it helps me think and look at things in a way that I
wouldn’t. Creativity happens by accident not by being planned. You need to
master one thing before you are able to move onto the next. Sometimes you need
to step back and become an outsider to be able to take a look at something in a
different way and are able to see what needs to be improved and what
doesn’t. To be able to cultivate more
creativity you need to maximize innovation and create new thoughts
independently by learning the skills early on. You can apply these skills in
the future and be better prepared for the unknown future.
2) How can being bored impact creativity in a positive way?
Being bored stimulates your brain in a different way then when you are busy,
you are not able to daydream and have your brain wonder off.
3) Is it better to higher a creative thinker or a harder
worker and why?
4) How does the creative industry hold ransom of creative people?
