From the research I did from the blogs I realized that all
blogs are different. Some blogs have pictures and some have videos. Some people
like to have links and quotes in there blog while others don’t. Even some blogs
have multiple sections of the blog. I enjoyed reading tagans kitchen it was a
colorful page with many pictures. The pictures were so good that they even made
me hungry. Unlike rebeccas pocket I wasn’t interested in the page. It was plain
boring and the page never caught my attention. Productive flourishing was very
well put together. It looks like the creator of this blog is very into her
page. She has many different links to click on to bring you to different pages.
I like how she also had a video on her main page. From reading and researching
these blogs I thought of how I should make my blog page. I didn’t want to make
my page to complex. I thought that simple would be easier for me since I am not
an experienced blogger. I didn’t want to have all these different links on my
main page that lead to other blogs. I also decided to put pictures on my blog
instead of videos. I decided on this because I realized that while I was
researching different types of blogs I would look at every picture I saw but I
didn’t take the time to go and watch every video. I also tried to make my page
as colorful and pretty as possible to catch reader’s eyes. In my future blogs I
hope to get more comfortable and am able to upgrade my page and hope that
people reading my blogs enjoy reading them. When I blog in the future I realize
that I have to use more exclamation points and quotes to keep the readers
interested instead of making it seem like they are reading out of a text book.

Inquiry (1V)
Inquiry: an act of asking for information
Inquiry: (own words) going out of your way to find out
something that you didn’t know before
The word Inquiry relates perfectly to Sonia Sotomayor in her
memoir My Beloved World. Sonia had diabetes at a young age and realized that
she needed to give herself insulin shots everyday to survive. Sonia had the
inquiry to find out what she had to do to survive. Sonia practiced the shots on
an orange so when she had to give them to herself she knew what to do. One word
that I learned in my Math 107 class is the word causations. It means the act of
causing something. We were talking about causations when we were learning about
designed experiments and how people can control the outcome of some
experiments. Another word that I have learned is multidisciplinary. This means combining or involving several
academic disciplines or professional specializations in an approach to a topic
or problem. This word relates to my Exercise science class because we were
talking about how sports medicine is a multidisciplinary field related to
physical activity and sport encompassing several disciplines relating to
performance enhancement or health care.
The Steps To Becoming An Athletic Trainer (1I)
My professor is
Matthew Rothbard his office is in Pelz gymnasium 009. His phone number is
203-392-6083 and his email address is rothbardm1@southernct.edu.
I asked Mr. Rothbard multiple questions about the Exercise Science 158: Athletic Training Professional Practice class that
I am in that takes place in pelz gymnasium from 11:10-12:00 on Wednesdays. One
question that I asked him was if the class is about the physical aspect of
athletic training or the knowledgeable part behind it? Mr Rothbard told me that
the classes emphasizes on the responsibilities and the knowledgeable part of
becoming an athletic trainer. He also told me that if I continue to keep
studying athletic training my sophomore year that is when I would practice my
physical skills of wrapping injuries and help rehabilitate athletes back to
health. My second question that I asked my professor was if I needed to
purchase a textbook? He answered back with telling me that he does not like to
use text books and that if I already purchased one that I could return it.
The Next Chapter To My Life (1A)
College is just another chapter in my life. Going to college
has been a goal that I have set for myself ever since I was a little girl. I
have an older brother who wanted to become a Physical Therapist, attend and also
play football at Sacred Heart University. As my older brother being my role
model I wanted to also study Physical Therapy attend Sacred Heart University
but I wanted to play on the softball team. This has been my goal ever since the
seventh grade. Finally achieving this goal just with the school of my dreams is
one of the best feelings I have ever felt. Now that I have reached my goal of
going to college my next goal is to academically succeed while attending
Southern Connecticut State University. Not only while I am trying my best to
achieve the best grades I could receive but I wish to make friends that I will
have for a long time. While living at home on Long Island my mom would help me
out tremendously with schoolwork, laundry and cleaning my room. Now that I live
two hours away from my family I am excited to be able to do everything on my
own. College is forcing me to have to do things on my own, I realize that it
may be a challenge at first but it is a challenge that I am willing to accept
and am excited to mature and take on this next chapter of my life. While
reading the syllabus for my inquiry class I thought to myself what exactly does
inquiry even mean? Also while reading the syllabus’s for all my other classes I
started to feel over whelmed and started to second guess myself asking myself
questions like what if I don’t do good in this class, what if my professor’s
don’t like me. I got extremely nervous for all of my classes but after
experiencing my first day I realized that I just have to do my best and if I
need help that it will always be provided for me. I wish that my college
experience is one that I will not ever forget.
